A tiny girl with blonde hair grinned and looked over at her twin brother.
"It seems we have a guest." She giggled.
The blonde haired boy nodded.
"Shall we go meet them?" He smirked.
=====================
Miku looked down the pathway that lead deeper into the forest.
She gulped.
She was lost, having wandered away from her friends while they were out walking around town.
What a mistake.
Miku sighed.
It was hopeless, she was already God knows how lost now.
She should just stay right there until someone found her.
Miku sat down under a tree.
She started to fiddle with a stick, drawing in the dirt.
"Hello!"
Miku let out a small yelp, nearly jumping out of her skin.
She looked up.
Two kids were standing in front of her, identical in every way except for their clothes.
The boy was dressed in a black top with red and black striped sleeves, a white neck tie, red and black striped shorts, black socks, brown boots, and he had a black sash wrapped around his shoulders.
His deep blonde hair was pulled back in a pony tail.
The girl was dressed in a black dress with red and black striped sleeves and a white ruffled bottom, red and black striped socks, and brown boots.
She also wore a white neck tie and a black sash around her shoulders.
In her hair was a red bandana with a small black hat on top of it.
They looked familiar...
"Um, hello." Miku smiled.
"Are you lost?" The girl asked, tilting her head.
Miku nodded. "I am."
"That's not good, there are wild animals in these woods." The boy said with a worried frown.
"Yeah I know," Miku mumbled. "I can't find my way back."
"Oh no! You might get eaten by animals!" The girl cried, her hands on her cheeks.
The boy patted the girl on the shoulder, then looked at Miku.
"How about you stay with us for the night?" He smiled.
The girl instantly perked up. "Yeah! We have a huge house that's big enough for all of us!" She said brightly.
"I don't know..." Miku said hesitantly.
"Pleeeease?" The girl whined.
"Would you rather get eaten by animals?" The boy asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Well, no..." Miku looked at the two.
They seemed so nice.
She smiled.
"I guess for one night."
"Yay!" The girl cheered happily. "We'll show you the way out tomorrow." She smiled at her.
The two held out their hands.
Miku took their hands, getting to her feet.
"My name is Len," The boy said, bowing and kissing her hand.
"And I'm his sister, Rin." The girl said, bowing and kissing her other hand.
Miku giggled a little.
The two sure had manners.
"I'm Miku."
"Mi-ku. What a pretty name." Rin giggled.
"Very pretty." Len said with a nod.
Miku grinned. "Thank you!"
The two linked arms with her.
"Shall we?" Len looked at his sister.
Rin looked at Len and nodded.
The two began skipping down the path, taking Miku with them.
The pathway twisted and curved among the gnarled trees, wind howling through them and making a creepy melody that sounded like a thousand screams.
Miku shuddered.
"We're almost there~!" Rin sang, skipping along.
The two hummed a melody as they went along.
Miku looked back and forth between the two.
Whatever they were singing, it was on the creepy side.
"We're here!"
Miku looked up.
They were standing in front of a huge mansion.
The porch was decorated with decorations of all kind for Halloween.
"You two live here?" Miku breathed in awe.
The two nodded proudly.
"Mhm!"
"Isn't it great?" Len smiled.
"It's beautiful!" Miku exclaimed.
Rin opened the front door.
It was just as beautiful on the inside as it was on the outside.
The floors were a deep brown, red carpets covering almost every inch of them.
There were pillars, huge rooms, everything.
Miku just stared with her mouth agape.
"You must be hungry, yes?" Rin said, letting go of her arm.
Miku nodded.
"I am a little."
"Great! We have tons of food to spare, don't we Rin?"
Rin nodded. "Mhm."
"Follow us!"
The two grabbed her hands, leading her down the hallway into a huge dining room with a long table.
Sweets and food of all kind covered almost every inch of the table.
After eating until she was full, Miku glanced around at the place.
She still couldn't get over how big it was.
Rin and Len were eating cinnamon sticks.
"Try one." Rin smiled, holding one out to her.
Miku took it. "Are they any good?"
"The best candy you've ever had." Len flashed a charming smile.
Miku took a bite of it.
Her eyes widened.
"This is amazing!"
"I told you." Len mumbled, his eyes narrowing at her in a smirk like glare.
Miku stopped.
She felt...Odd.
Her vision started to blur.
"Oh my, what's wrong Miku? You look pale." Rin said, the traces of a smile in the corners of her mouth.
Miku's chair felt like it got yanked out from behind her and she fell backwards.
She didn't hit the floor though.
It was like she fell THROUGH a hole in the floor.
Tumbling down into the dark.
Down...Down...Down...
Then she felt herself spinning.
Miku opened her eyes.
She was dancing with Rin in a large, elegant ballroom.
"What's the matter, Miku?" Rin asked, smiling and tilting her head.
"Uh..." She never remembered leaving the dining room at all. "N-Nothing." She smiled a little.
They spun in another circle.
It was so fast that Miku almost didn't notice it, but Rin switched out with Len to dance with Miku.
"Are you enjoying yourself so far?" Len asked, smiling.
Miku nodded.
"It's so nice that we get to play together again." Len chuckled.
Again?
Wait...
Len spun Miku around, letting go of her hand.
Miku felt herself fall again.
"Wait-"
Len smirked, clapping.

"She's so grown up, don't you think?"
Giggling.
"I agree."
More giggles.
Miku slowly opened her eyes.
There was a black blindfold wrapped around her eyes, but there was a hole in it so she could see.
She didn't know where she was, but there were candles lit and everything.
Rin and Len were sitting side by side on the floor, eating candy.
Len looked at Miku and his eyes hardened in a cold glare, a smirk spreading across his face.
"My, My, it looks like she's awake already."
Miku froze, her eyes widening.
Rin looked at her.
"So she is."
"W-What's..."
Rin and Len were all of a sudden standing in front of her.
"If your blindfold keeps coming off, then should I just blind you instead?" Rin said, giggling.
"It's so nice that we get to see you again, Miku. After all those years, hm?" Len smirked.
Miku's eyes got drawn to the shadows on the wall.
They couldn't be Rin and Len's shadows.
They were so small...
Their shadow's looked like.
Miku's eyes grew even more wide.
Dolls.
That was it.
That was where she'd seen them before.

Miku sat in her playroom, playing with two dolls, a boy and a girl.
The doll's looked identical in every way except for their clothes.
"Come on, it will be so much fun!" She made the boy doll say.
She made the girl doll move. "Let's, play a game. On your maarrrk-"
"Miku."
Miku turned around.
Her father stood there with a new doll. "We bought you a present."
Miku gasped. "A dolly!" She cried happily.
She dropped Len and Rin on the floor, running over and taking the doll.
"Give me that!"

Miku stared at them in fear.
"N-No...It can't be..." She whispered, shaking her head.
Rin and Len grinned.
Their once sea blue eyes were now glowing orange.
Rin was holding Miku's old doll in her hand.
She ripped it's head off easily, letting it drop to the floor.
"Miss us, Miku?" Rin giggled.
"Or did you forget about us already?" Len asked, smirking.
Rin put her fingers on the corners of Miku's mouth, turning them up in a smile.
"Smile~! We don't like to see you frown. Right, Mi-ku?" She giggled.
The two reached out for her.
"Hey~, Give me that?"
Haha!
"NO!" Miku shrieked.
She smacked their hands away, ripping off the blindfold and making a run for it.

Miku ran down the hallway, not having a clue where she was going.
She was lost in the huge mansion.
It all made sense.
They were her dolls.
Her dolls that she abandoned for the other one.
The song they were humming was a song SHE had made them sing when she would play with them, pretending they were going Trick Or Treating.
As she ran, she heard laughing coming from behind her.
"Come on, come on, it'll be so fun! Let's play a game!"
Miku tripped, falling down.
"On our maaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrk!"
Miku scrambled to her feet, bolting down the hallway again.
She had to get out.
Had to get away.
"Deeper, deeper, you come into the forest, pulled by a voice so sweet."
Miku threw open a door.
A bedroom.
She shut the door and went to the next one.
"Come on, come on, you want to go even deeper in to meet."
A closet.
"Quickly, quickly, run as fast as your little legs can run into the dark."
She heard giggling sounding from behind her.
Miku spun around.
They weren't there.
"Come on, come on, it'll be so fun. Let's play a game, on your maaarrrrk!"
Miku quickly resumed running.
Where were the stairs?!
"This cinnamon stick is a very wonderful magic stick."
"Imagine that you are drowning in the sweetest syrups~."
Miku threw open another door.
Another bedroom.
"Dream relive you of your problems, and sorrows that make you weep."
Miku's froze.
The tiny doll of Rin's shadow was reflecting off the wall.
She slammed the door and ran again.
"Because they are heaven-made, have one and fall asleep."
"But they are only good if your surrounded by hallucinations."
Miku let out a scream and she tumbled down.
She had found the stairs.
She landed in a heap at the bottom.
"When you take the blindfold off, there won't be anymore pleasant creations."
Miku lifted her head, sitting up.
She ran into another room.
The dining room.
The food and sweets on the table were rotting.
Miku coughed, covering her nose.
Wait...
Her younger self was sitting on the ground, her hands tied together by a rope, a blindfold over her eyes.
And Len was holding the rope.
Rin stood beside him, giggling.
The nightmares she had when she was little.
"You will see that your hands are tied and bound, dragging at my heels.
You've already given up, don't take it back." He yanked the rope, causing her to jerk forward with a whimper. "It's a deal." They grinned.
Miku quickly ran out.
The door had to be somewhere!
For some reason her mind was all scrambled.
She didn't know which way was up or down.
Miku burst through another door.
The kitchen.
"Sometimes we see the shine of doubt flickering on the double edged knife."
She looked around.
The voice was so close.
"A faultless love does not exist, there is no perfect feeling in this life."
"Through a hole in the blindfold, there was something that I thought I'd never see."
Miku ran off again.
Where was the door?!
"Lantern shadows that grew at night unconsciously frightened me!"
Miku stopped when her foot went through the floor.
She looked around.
The once beautiful mansion was covered in dust, everything looking like it was about to fall apart.
The pictures smashed, the red carpets ripped, the floors old and moldy.
"My, My, you bad kid. How dare you wake up so early?"
"If your blindfold comes off, then should I blind you instead?"
Miku covered her mouth.
This couldnt be happening!
"Hey, look! Your laughing. Now isn't that the cutest sight?!"
"But you still wear lies, so let's go back to our play tonight!"
"Hey? Give me that?"
Giggle.
Miku spun around, her back against a wall.
The two stood in front of her, holding hands.
"Don't look so frightened Mi-ku." Rin smiled.
"You see, we love you so much. So much that we can't let you leave." Len said.
They took a step forward.
"You love us too, right Mi-ku? You said so yourself." Rin giggled.
Miku pressed against the wall, shaking violently, staring at the two with wide eyes.
Len smirked, his eyes narrowing at her.
"Why are you trembling in front of me like a scared little mouse?
Milk is what you want because it made you well at your old house?"
Miku's shaky hand slid along the wall.
Rin tilted her head.
"This is my domain, my place where it's just as warm as any place.
I'll just toll what's in your pocket, now you should not loose any face."
Miku quickly ran again.
WHERE WAS THE DOOR?!
Laughter.
"Give me that, quickly, quickly, just give it here right now."
Miku stopped running and looked behind her.
The two were walking towards her, their orange eyes glowing.
Miku quickly looked around.
She spotted a door up ahead.
The front door.
She took off bolting towards it.
"Don't ask why or when or where, you don't even have to know how.
Eat these sweets, they tempt you into believing fake hospitality."
Miku reached out her hand to grab the knob.
"Give me that, quickly,"
Almost there.
"just give it here,"
Miku grabbed the knob.
"Right now to meeee!"
Miku threw open the door.
She took one step outside.
A hand grabbed her by the back of her dress.
Miku's eyes widened.
She got yanked back inside, the door slamming shut.

Giggle. Giggle.
"Trick and Treat, Mi-ku!"
Haha!

Fin.
Whoohoo!
